Direct Characterization:

Indirect Characterization:

Ekprha...

1.                       Journal-    

2.                       What was the art museum like?  What did you like?  What did you dislike? Why did you like what you liked?  Any questions?  What the heck is art, then?



3.                       Practice Ekphrasis- 

Describe, but go further, or just describe.  Don’t make meaning, just make.  Short, but vivid, let your mind wander above, around, through the painting.  Usually they start with description and get to something else.
